Afternoon tea at Sketch

Wednesday, 7 October 2015
The pink velvet chairs and David Shrigley illustrations can only mean one thing. This was my first forte into the shiny world of afternoon tea and I think it can only possibly go down hill from here. The staff are dressed in Richard Nicoll, the china is wonderfully adorned with handwritten words, the toilets are like an art installation itself... I wasn’t particularly enamored with the food itself, but honestly, I was just there for the amazing Wes Anderson-ish glowing pink and copper parlour. It would be the coolest thing, to be like a ‘creative director’ of your own place like this. Designing the interior, menu, uniform, china and generally curating a space where just visiting is an experience.

  2. Sketch is one place in London where I've never been and am dying to go! Love your pics, especially of the Shrigley wall. xo

  3. I love that the teapots have 'ghosts' written on them. Not sure I understand why they do, but sometimes understanding is overrated, am I right?
