George William C Photography

My brother has been travelling around the world for the past couple of years and documenting it all via his film camera. What I like so much within these sets from India and Uganda is the warmth and vibrancy of each culture captured without that sense of voyeurism, as if a western tourist is at a zoo. I studied a lot about this last year on my course, the portrayal of 'other' in travel tourism writing. The same ideas can be applied to all mediums of creativity, especially photography, as its such a prevalent medium in our culture today.
These black and white photos from Japan really are reminiscent of Lost In Translation to me, the little bit of intimacy/blurry focus, and of course the Tokyo location.
What do you guys think?

Suede jacket

(Topshop Premium Suede Biker Jacket, &Other Stories Black Midi Dress, ASOS Boots, Vintage bag)
I'm really into my suede at the moment and knew this Topshop jacket was the perfect way for me to lighten up outfits. I wear too much black and leather these days and how can I not be inspired by this beautiful season when the pavements are covered in golden orange leaves. Even my AW15 High Street Wishlist featured a lot more warm toned pieces..

Afternoon tea at Sketch

Wednesday, 7 October 2015
The pink velvet chairs and David Shrigley illustrations can only mean one thing. This was my first forte into the shiny world of afternoon tea and I think it can only possibly go down hill from here. The staff are dressed in Richard Nicoll, the china is wonderfully adorned with handwritten words, the toilets are like an art installation itself... I wasn’t particularly enamored with the food itself, but honestly, I was just there for the amazing Wes Anderson-ish glowing pink and copper parlour. It would be the coolest thing, to be like a ‘creative director’ of your own place like this. Designing the interior, menu, uniform, china and generally curating a space where just visiting is an experience.
