Love the sleek hair that always pops up around fashion week. I typically favour messy, wavy hair drenched in sea salt spray and back combed but polished hair looks unstated and chic, especially within high fashion..

Cacti and Succulents

Thursday, 17 September 2015
Thankfully I'm a second year now, so I have a house in Liverpool and not just a shoebox in halls. Over the past week I've been gathering some cacti and succulents from IKEA and garden centres to breathe some air into the room (literally). I was looking at the interior tag on my pinterest  and also Kates green apartment tour  and noticed how a lot of the spaces I admire almost always have plants. I'm going to pick up one or two larger ones once I arrive and will probably do a mini room tour soon because I take pictures of anything and everything in my life it seems!

If anyone is a fresher this week- good luck...

Belted coats: 3 looks

Tuesday, 15 September 2015

It's fun to mess around on polyvore with tie waist coats as I wouldn't buy one myself. They look really cool on the right people but I prefer the exact style but without the option to tie it, to avoid me looking like I accidentally wore a dressing gown out..

Stockholm haul: Acne, COS, Weekday etc

Sunday, 13 September 2015
ACNE black scuba turtle neck sweater £22, WEEKDAY nude silky top £30

BOLIA Marble tray square £29, Ceramic pot (random shop somewhere) £1.70

COS silky black top £16, H&M cream top (sale) £3
Postcards and notebook from the museum

The amazing deals from Acne and COS were bought second hand from Stockholms Stadsmission right by my Airbnb in SoFo. They had so many cheap items from brands like Fillipa K and ACNE to more mid priced ones like COS and &Otherstories, alongside a lot of vintage. Wish I hadn’t discovered it on the last night because there were other locations around the city. I also LOVED Weekday, per usual, but only picked up one thing in the end even though I was massively tempted by the coats and leather jackets. I also bought the camel coat from the H&M over there which you can see in my outfit post here.

My brother called the postcards 'poncey' but I just liked the colours of them to be honest. I'm a true hoarder, I have so many postcards from countries and museums and ticket stubs etc filling up 'memory boxes' in my cupboards. I've started packing again for university so going to be chucking loads of it, which is sad, but it has to be done.

if you missed it, here is my Stockholm photo diary

Equipment silk shirt

*my hair looks gross because I had just washed it and it hadn't fully dried yet when these pictures were taken in the morning, lol.
I am in love with this blouse.. it feels so luxurious and is the perfect nude shade. I got it from Vestiaire Collective so it was much cheaper but still not cheap enough to make me sure I want to take it back to uni. Too many drinks being spilled or washing machine mares *shudders*

Stockholm photo diary

Another one of the fashion capitals ticked off my list. Stockholm encompasses all things cool, the people have razor cut cheekbones and blue eyes, dress impeccably, the whole city basically seems to have their shit together. There is an abundance of green space alongside independent shops and restaurants making the city feel rather un city like, the air is clean and streets calm.

The city is a made up of little islands, an archipelago that means you are never too far away from water. This automatically leads to a shift in neighborhoods as you wander across bridges, Gamla Stan is half tourist trap half historic gem, Sodermalm is the Brookyln/Shoreditch equivalent I suppose, minus the gentrification, Ostermalm is more affluent, and just opposite beyond the water is Djurg√•rden, a massive green space.
I stayed in an Airbnb which was beautiful and also in the heart of Sofo in Sodermalm (and you know I'm on that swedish chocolate soon as I land!!)

Some of my personal recommendations and highlights include:

- Urban Deli, delicious deli/restaurant, good for people watching in the sun
- Nytorget 6, bad service but decadent food and gorgeous interior
- Fabrique, marble tables and cinnamon buns, ultimate combo (they actually have one in London which was featured in this Stylist article)

- Skansen, a giant open-air museum showing over 150 traditional Swedish dwellings throughout the ages, with people dressed in traditional clothing and Scandinavian animals (elk, reindeer, wolves, bears etc) roaming, it's actually really cool even if it sounds ridiculous.

- Moderna Museet, modern art museum with a great collection. There was actually a burglary here in 1993 where £40m worth of Picasso and Braques was stolen using a method they saw in a French film. COOL!

Has anyone else been? would love to see your posts.
